Adam La Vitola and Sean McCauley, who wanted to create a clothing company out of the Midwest, established Seam Street in 2009. Growing up on the North Shore of Chicago was an inspiration for both Adam and Sean. They wanted a brand that represented both comfort and class and decided on a turtle as their logo to represent a slow and easy lifestyle. Seam Street donates 10% of their profits to the National Save the Sea Turtle Foundation in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

The original needlepoint hat company, Harding-Lane, was established in the spring of 2009 and has made themselves the premier needlepoint hat maker. The company is owned by Sarah & Steve Gifford, two siblings who came up with the idea of putting needlepoint designs on baseball caps. Sarah had grown up needlepointing and Steve was looking for the perfect fitting baseball cap.
Recently, Harding-Lane has expanded their line into making t-shirts and needlepoint belts. The hats are very well made and provide a deeper fit and more worn in feel. Unlike most baseball caps that have a leather strap in the back, Harding-Lane’s caps have an adjustable white sailcloth with a brass clip making it more environmentally friendly. Each year Harding-Lane donates a percentage of their profits to the Trustees of Reservation, a Massachusetts based organization that protects both land and cultural sites in the state.

Bert Pulitzer, a menswear legend, designed the Survivalon jackets because of the lack of product that was available for sailors and sport fishermen who wanted a jacket that could perform in marine environments. This jacket literally has everything you need, including conveniently located pockets designed to fit a cell phone, sunglasses, and an ipad/tablet. Also, this jacket is proudly made in the USA!

Cotton bow ties made in the USA. Can it get much better than that? Believe it or not, it actually can. High Cotton Ties, based in Raleigh, NC, specializes in hand-made bow ties, but also makes a variety of other high quality products such as t-shirts, polo’s, headbands and much more!
These bow ties use high-grade cotton and have impeccable craftsmanship. High Cotton’s bow ties are washable and can easily be passed down from generation to generation. They have a large selection of patterns to choose from and have recently released a new line called “Collection Reserve” for life’s finer moments.
High Cotton is one of my favorite companies, not only for their outstanding products, but also and even more importantly, for the values they uphold. High Cotton prides itself on integrity, honesty and producing quality American-Made products!
